Last time I was on this road ( 2010) it was partially sealed and partially a really bad corrugated dirt road.

Is it still like that or has it improved?

Also what is the approximate travel time from Broken Hill to Milparinka at reasonable but not excessive speeds?

We drove BH - Tibooburra in July this year - the unsealed bits were mostly 100kph. I don't remember any bad sections, and I think the 330 or so km took around 3.5 - 4 hours - we left BH around 2pm and were there well before dusk. Milparinka is about 30 mins less than Tibooburra.

The road north of Tibooburra isn't as good.

I was on it 2 weeks ago; no change in road conditions from 2010, 21KM's of dirt between Packsaddle & Broken Hill, the rest is sealed. Packsaddle north; same as you had in 2010!

Milparinka is now a ghost town. No services whatsoever!

The bucket of chips at the Packsaddle roadhouse was more than worth the stop! :=)
