Hi guys, just finished changing my timing belt, tensioner bearing and hydraulic tensioner on my HZJ105 and am just wondering if anyone uses Loctite on the timing belt tensioner bearing bolt (Allen key bolt). I didn't as my
Gregory's manual didn't mention it but looking at a Toyota service manual it does. Thinking about taking back off and applying it for piece of mind but i haven't seen anyone mention it as a must do on any forums. Thoughts anyone???

AB,
If it's going to niggle at you. then I'd take it off and give it a hit with some 243. And if toyota mention it, then it might be safer to do it, eh.
Would make a real mess if that bolt came loose.........
Years ago we had a few drive shafts fall off, because the flange bolts worked loose. Started using 243 on them, and no more dramas.
Bob.

G'day Grumpy
If it's torqued to the right specs I reckon should be okay, Loctite on the fan to water pump housing for sure.

I should add that the toque wrench is the most important tool in my tool box.
