Hi Robin,
While I'm not a Victorian, I support stopping this move by the Victorian Government.
What happens in one state will be followed by others.
NB If you make a submission - post a reply to keep the thread at the top.
Cheers
Anthony

Hi Robin, I have had a quick read but cannot see a problem provided they are not encroaching into areas that are currently free of fees etc. In those areas that are already subject to a fee (say coastal areas) and provided they offer
services, then for my part happy to pay for the
services and conveniences on offer. Have I missed something in my cursory read of this post? If so please be kind in your response!! Cheers, Leigh

That's the thing Leigh. They are.
For example, we stay at a quiet little
bush camp in
Little Desert with no facilities. Currently it's a
free camp, but with the new plans we will be asked to pay $13 per night.

Thanks Robin,
I was not aware of this as I have not bought a 4WD Action for some time.
Submission done.

Thanks for the reminder Robin. I sent an email and got a standard reply earlier, but forwarded this to everyone I know who may be affected.
A drop dunny site would be more expensive than a powered caravan site next to
the beach under these proposed changes. And a group of 4 cars in a bush
camp site with no facilities would rack up $52 a night!!! Great value huh?
Unbelievable.

I just rewrote the email and told them we would be renting a cabin and setting up our tents down the back, leaving their cabin empty and untouched.

Hullo Robin
I have made my own
views known directly to Parks Victoria.
Personally I will not have anything to do with 4WDAction, and especially in this case as they are persona non grata with the Parks Victoria due to their past immature and irresponsible behaviour in the Alpine Park a few years back when they trashed some tracks and took vehicles right into the pedestrian access only
Moroka Hut.
It is interesting to note the responses in the community survey undertaken by
Deakin and included in the RIS, as it appears that the vast majority (80+%) of people surveyed held an opinion in direct opposition to the position now adopted by the Vic Govt!
Cheers
Andrew

Thanks Andrew - It was a short time to react and I guess this is all we can do for now.
I don't like some of the polices of the party I voted for last election either but its either be a player or not and I have no doubt of one thing.
Divided we will fail !
So I support this 4wdaction action and maybe from it and this post another 20-50 people will be on the list of objectors.

Well done Robin for bringing this to our attention.
Well done to all the Exploroz members for responding.
When Robin posted the link to the petition, 2719 had responded.
Now that has increased to 6112 responses. An increase by 3393 I realize not all are from this site but at least 27 people responded from here and 800 odd are aware.
Cheers
Anthony

I sent one off the day you posted Robin, but did not post here. I might now live in Queensland but I grew up around the edge of the Victorian High Country. I would like to be able to afford to go back.
Kevin.
