i wanna know how heavy the hilux is when fully laden

i considered buying 4 sets of bathroom scales and putting one under each wheel but i don't think that would work...

so - can anyone tell me where i can find a public weighbridge around brisbane? idea of $$ would be nice as well

cheers,

KG

go to the dump without a ticket cause if you don't have a ticket then they weigh you on the way in and then weigh you on the way out after you have dumped and you get a bill plus i think from memory how much you weighed before and after (even if it wasn't on the ticket i reckon they'd tell you). Now clearly you are sort of slighty abusing their system so smile really sweetly when you do a u turn around the office block, or better still actually drop off something, hell, i dumped a load of concrete and building materials and cost me like less than $10. i went to the Ferny Grove dump station, but i believe all the BCC dumps have the weigh thing goin cause we only get one free ticket a year now.

Unless the system has changed in the last couple of weeks, voucher or not you still get weighed at the Nudgee transfer station ,,ask them nicely and they will weigh for free,,,commercial weigh stations charge an average of $10 per time so you could " slip " the nudgee fellows a$ or3.

If the blokes at Nudgee transfer station don't do it, pop over to SIMS Metal at Northgate and they will most likely weigh you for free if trucks aren't coming in.

I own a weighbridge in bendigo (vic) and lots of people weigh their vehicles, vans ect. to check their weights. I don't charge. You should weigh the front axle and the rear one separately as you may be over on one and not the other. be ready for a surprise, as most before going on a trip are over.
