I was there in June this year and I thought the road was going to be difficult for caravans but I saw caravans that I classified as only bitumen class there, single axles and tandems. I guess if you drove to the conditions you could get there safely. Lots of corrugations but if you take it nice and easy I reckon you could make it. Cheers...

Takes approx 2.5 hours but we took longer as we were sightseeing to
Beagle Bay etc. The main road up was good because it was maintained by the authorities until the turn off to
Middle Lagoon where it was a little rough. I did not take my van there as I thought I could not - but given another time after the wet season I would take my Caravan there. If you have a dingy take it as the fishing is not bad when the fish is running. Enjoy mate. When were you thinking of going up as it is pretty warm there now.

Hi Con we wont be going until next May just after the wet season,my thoughts are drive to
Middle Lagoon and leave the van and use it as a base and just do day trips.
Thank you again for your
feedback very much appreciated.
Cheers

Hi Humpback, I have a mate that has been going there for the last 17 years and has informed me that the road is ok as Con say's. He tows a Quintrex 6.5 boat in there and has no trouble.I am towing an off road 20' Supreme van in there around May next year. Can't wait.
regards, Boof.
