Esperance at Christmas???

My partner and I are looking to
camp with 4wd and trailer tent at Christmas. We are based in
Perth and cant decide whether we should go just before Christmas (22nd/23rd) and stay until New Year or travel down on 27th. Also we have not booked anywhere to stay so would like some advice on where would be best to go. We would prefer beach camping and hour maximum travel would be approx. 13 hours from
Perth. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The area gets pretty crowded during December and January. Are you looking for serviced (eg amenities and power) or more independent campgrounds? I can email you information on the latter around
