landed eagle
Greetings all! Have just been reading the local rag's website this morning and
Cockle Creek is to be closed to vehicular traffic .This will upset LOTS of vanners and campers over summer and until they decide to replace the
bridge. Cheers, the eagle.

G'day landed eagle,
The way i under stand it, the
bridge that is closing, is the
bridge across
Cockle Creek, which means access to the National Park and associated camping areas is closed, BUT there is plenty of camping in the area prior to the
bridge.

It's only vehicular access to the park that has closed, we still have foot access. Most who go there do so for the walking, it's only 1 km from the
bridge to the end of the road -
Map of walk.
Last time I was there the majority of the camping was before the
bridge.

I believe that you are correct Baz&Pud. many people confuse the
bridge over the river at Catamaran and the
Cockle Creek bridge when they discuss the area.
Cheers
