Seldom Seen - what happened?

Mate just back from High Country said the great character who lived at Seldom Seen (had a great chat with him a few years ago but buggered if I can recall his name) has disappeared and his great collection has sadly dwindled (probably by pilfering?).

Can anyone enlighten me as to what happened?

Thanks in advance.

David Woodburn was his name and he died a year or so ago, he drank something like draino thinking it was water and that was the end and I would say probable a terrible way to go.

In memory of David..

In memory of David Woodburn

I never met him but read through this. Characters like him don't come along too often.

That's bloody sad, not a very nice way to go and certainly not deserved by anyone.
I met him once very briefly a very longtime ago when I stopped to look at the old stuff lying around his place, didn't know much about him other than he was a really nice old bloke.

Thanks guys.
Poor bugger - horrible way to go.
He was a really nice guy - and one of life's characters.
Glad we stopped for a chat when we did.
That drive will not have the same appeal next time we visit.

Hi all, I need some tuition re opening highlighted threads. Eg, I was on the thread "seldom seen", what happened to David Woodburn, and it says " click here" on the underlined text. This I do, up comes a small window, which the text is very small and unreadable, and I can,t get past this pop up to be able to read the story.
Sorry to take up your valuable time but I am not the sharpest tool in the shed with these IPads , especially now I allowed them to get me into this new upgrade ISO7' or something like that and I am having lots of problems I didn't,t know existed.
Cheers

Double click (tap) the link and it should open fully in another page.
The small box is a preview box.

Hope this helps.

Hi Bill

If you are using an iPad, the easiest way is to tap and hold your finger on the underlined link.

This will open another box that has a number of options. You can tap on which ever one you want.

I always tap on the Open in New Window choice so I just have to close the tab when you I have finished reading it to return to the thread I was reading.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Thanks guys, I knew somebody would sort it out for me. There has been a few threads that I would have liked to read but ignorance and a bit of embarrassment re my lack of computer skills stopped me from asking for help. Stupid me !!
