Thanks David
This sounds right, and I'm sure it will be fine. A couple of things for others to watch for, though:
1. Copying these large files from one microSD (the one you supplied) to another (the one in the Hema HN6) is a very slow process. The big .ozf4 file takes about an hour on my reasonably fast system.
2. If the copying fails, as
mine just did,
check the space available on the Hema card.
Mine is an 8GB and there is not enough room on it for the Hema and 250K maps which came with the unit plus the big
EOTopo .ozf4 file. I don't have a spare 16GB card lying around.
Solution - your files are supplied on a 16GB card, so I'll back yours up on the computer, delete the state files from the card to free up space, copy all Hema's files onto the card and rearrange directories as needed.
Possible problem - I've just read the latest
EOTopo discussion on whether the state files should be retained. I think I'll order a 32GB micro SD card (just over $20 for a Samsung Class 10 on Ebay) in case I need it. I'm guessing that the HN6 won't object to a 32GB card.
If anybody out there sees a flaw in this, please let me know.
Bill
