GoPro is the bees knees camera in my opinion, you can pick up a Hero3 for around $250.

As per Lyn and I expect several others GoPro. I use it attached to the car, bikes, poles in the water, underwater and everywhere in between.
The supplied 60M waterproof housing which is of course then dust proof makes it a simple choice. You do not need the new $500+ model the 3 White or preferably the 3 Silver are excellent units.

I have the Jaycar $49 camera and it gives a very good recording.
I brought the cheap version as I tend to stick it n the outside of the car and I am likely to loose it at some stage.
720 is plenty, but make sure you use a Class 10 mini SD card Class 4 is useless. Oh yes and Vaseline on the seal helps keep water out..

I think Good Guys one for around the $140 mark also. It fits the GoPro attachments as
well.
