Hi there,

Iphone app available for download.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dpaw-alerts/id767156295

Have loaded onto my phone looks OK.

Park alerts, bushfire alerts and Dfes alerts.

Android version coming soon.

I guess it will only be of use in areas of reception, but still pretty good.

Cheers
Alan

A simple off topic question.

Do apps work on desktops?

I don't think so Phil.
If you want real time info on your desktop I'd start researching RSS feeds.

I thought so. No computer in the car apart from the GPS box that I run OziCE on. Just curious.

Merry Christmas.

You can run Android apps on a PC or MAC using the Bluestacks download (http://www.bluestacks.com/). There are several articles about it eg http://www.technewsworld.com/story/77647.html. It's available free while still in beta testing. Expect to pay when they get it finalised.

Thanks but I don't need them. As I said just curious.

I have all the programs that I need.

Have a good one.
