Has anyone else had problems with their DP Chip on a Rodeo? I've had mine for just under 2 years, it died about 3 months after getting it, took nearly 2 months to get it back and it didn't seem to be much better than before the chip was fitted, it died again a few weeks ago, the second time it was returned I was told that they wouldn't fix it again, given they have a 5 year warranty I think they have a legal obligation to do so? am i correct?
It has gotten to a point I really don't want to get it back given it has been so unreliable and it is my work ute and the extra power is great (when it works)
What other chips are others of you using in the Rodeo's? how do they perform? cost compared to DPChip? ease of installation as the DP Chip was a mongrel to get pick up wire on Injector pump lead.

Thanks
Shane

Shane
Sorry to hear about the issues you are having, at present I don't have a chip on my 2005 Rodeo but looking at getting one soon.
I have discussed fitting a chip with the diesel mechanic in my area and he advised the only one he would recommend and guarantee was the Steinburer chip. I asked what was the negatives of the chip and he said none except for the cost, from memory it was around $1,600.00 fitted.
The guys had fitted other chips at different times and this the only one they will fit now due to problems with others.
Cheers Gary

A five year warranty is a 5 year warranty, unless of course you've done something that would be considered a modification etc.

Read the warranty information. Many warranties are 'limited', so let's not go off til that info is analysed.

Have a read of this. Coding your computor may be a better way to go if it is available in your area, Bob
