Hi all,
I have a Dometic RM 2350, and was interested to know if it can be upgraded to the RM2355 auto, as in can the controller be upgraded.
The fridge sometimes goes out, and unless you are diligent and catch it the fridge temps start to rise.
The RM2355 according to the manual will attempt to relight the gas if it goes out, and it is this feature that I'm after.
The fridge is otherwise fine and I'm quite happy with it.
cheers
Ralph

The fridge cannot be upgraded to an AES (Automatic Energy Selection) model. You have to purchase the fridge as an AES. That size is not made in AES.
If the fridge goes out you have a problem. Low gas pressure, thermocouple faulty, thermocouple not sufficiently in the flame - read manual, flame cover missing, flue needs cleaning. Ensure twisted metal ribbon is on flue.

Thanks for the
feedback, I have just checked the gas pressure etc and all appears fine, the RM2355 is the AES version of the RM2350 by the way.

Hi
I would suggest the only way they are alike is they are Dometic 3Way fridges
It is not practical to convert
Virtually the only thing that is common is the sealed refrigeration unit itself
Far more involved than just buying & fitting an electronic control module

HI
If the flame goes out regularly there is a reason ,[as posted by "Someone"]
It could be the Bypast jet is partly blocked as
well as "someones" points

Again thanks for the replys, clearly this needs to be answered by Dometic, as it seems info on these fridges is thin on the ground.
Thought is was worth a try anyway, I'll get it sorted either way.
cheers
