Noticed a few months ago small cracks appearing almost everywhere on the interior walls.

They have probably been there for a while, but only just noticed them.

The fridge is about 10 years old.

Has anyone else had this experience, and what did you do to fix it?

Simple solution for your concerns, give Bushman a call you will find them to be very helpful. They have one of the best customer service records of any Company you will ever deal with.

Cheers

Have the same fridge and same age and no cracking that I know of. You have made me go and have a look now. Just had a look and all is good. Looks like the interior walls are fiber glass type of construction and if so you could see a fiber glass worker and get them to give it a coat of gel coat to seal it. You would have to let it breathe for a while as the gel coat smell could taint your food. As said give Bushman a ring and see what they reckon, unfortunately your warranty has run out.

Hi, we have a bushman of about 10 or so years and ours has small cracks on the inside top corners (not the lid) so I think we will also ring bushman and see if there's a fix .

Have a Bushman as well, although only about 4-5 years old. Would be interested to hear whether the people having problems leave the fridge on 24x7 or turn it on only when being used?

I rang the Queensland distributor, (we are in Gladstone for a couple of weeks) and was advised that it was rare for cracks to appear.

While sympathetic he could only suggest I try a silicone or something similar to seal the cracks or, he could transfer my running gear to a carcass of a similar vintage and pay $200 to do the transfer.

I like the idea, but would need to get it down to him.

I am doing to go to bunnings and find a suitable sealer for the job.

I thought about the gel coat idea but I have got 10 years out of the fridge and when my repair job causes problems I will get a new fridge.

Thanks for the advise gentlemen.
