Any one know what the reception on the island is like for the idiot box? Going to be staying at Penneshaw end. A google search only resulted in info several years old, when analog was getting switched off.

Thanks

Have a look at the MySwitch site. Put in the address to see coverage.
It says Penneshaw SA 5222, Australia
This is a very good predicted coverage area. You can expect to receive all available channels.

Thanks for that. Did not know this site existed. Normally would not bother me with idiot box, but with three kids, it might come in handy if stuck in van from weather.

There is very little coverage on Kangaroo Island.
ABC Reception website http://reception.abc.net.au/Reception.aspx
and MySwitch will confirm.
The eastern end of Kangaroo Island you will get variable reception with a large size VHF Yagi horizontal polarisation.
