Which is best map for the High Country

G'day all,
We are heading up to Mount Hotham for the "Beyond Hotham" event in March.
I have the Raster 250,000 map and Hema High Country maps but none give great detail around the Hotham, Dinner Plains and Blue Rag area.
What are the preferred maps that other are using.
Thanks for your replies in anticipation.
Regards
Des

Rooftop are OK - can get most in electronic versions.
But the tracks you will go on have all been on Hema HC in past years and as you will have a tour guide, I wouldn't expect any issues re mapping. As part of registration, a Hema HC map has been provided in the past.
Cheers

Thanks Andrew, The roof top ones I looked at didn't appear to quite cover all the area.
Will you be there this year? if you are we will probably catch up.

Hullo Des

If you can get them, Rooftop do cover most, if not all of the area. But you have to hunt around as many places selling maps don't seem to stock the full range. I find them a bit hard to read on the 7" electronic mapping system I have but they are great in paper form.

BH? Possibly there this year. It depends on how the bushfire season pans out here. March can still be a bad month and last year there was even a fire in May :-(

Rooftop are great if you can source them, if you want to go digital you can download memorymap for 10days trial, use the victopo its very accurate , not Hema.
Spacial Vision do paper maps to..

The 250k of Australia can be used free.

G day Swaggie
As usual, you called it good again

I actually switch from Rooftop to Hema, and back again, depending on what I am chasing.
But I am easy to please.

You can leave that alone too
