Bite the bullet & buy Bickerton folding bikes, you can often pick them up secondhand too.

Hi

I bought an "Urban Mover" UM24 about 5-6 years ago. It's been fantastic - well made well featured and - although I expected replacement batteries to be many and expensive - I've never had to buy one!!! It is a NiMH battery and I have kept it constantly trickle charging with the occasional 'run down' ride until recently. Now I'm living on the plains again in Adelaide again, I use it a great deal but still keep it on charge when not in use.

I cannot detect an deterioration in the battery although I'm certain there must have been some.

The local bike store said replacements can be got through Battery World but I haven't tried so am not sure. It's probably important to check out battery life/ease of replacement before you buy as I'm sure there are a lot of other good electric fold ups around now.

I think Australian (silly) laws about not more than 200W motors is changing too so I'd buy a new more powerful one if you can - although - I've found my 200W bike has all the power I need so if you can find a "run out" 200W at a good price I'd buy it!

Around 2 months ago we purchased a black version of the e bike below from another supplier, our stand is located under neath the battery box and the speed control and front light appear to be a little different but ours cost around $200 more.

Looks like the $940 includes post

For Us its a Great e bike
