Hi folks,
Our fridge is now about 10 years old and it has been working fine and mostly full time for all that period. Recently it started switching itself off, sometimes after a week other times after 24hrs. Turn it back on and it starts again no problems. The problem all started after we ran it on the Waeco transformer but it has continued now it's back in the vehicle on 12v power.

Hi,

The fact that the problem started after running of the power could be purely coincidental. I would look at the basics, check all the connections fuses etc, make sure there not loose, dirty etc.

If that doesn't fix it then probably back to a repair center it goes :(

I seem to remember there is occasionally a problem with the membrane type of switch. does yours have press switches like the keypads on microwaves?(membrane)

they are generally not repairable and need to be replaced which is not a big job. the Waeco service centre should be able to advise you.
