We are planning a trip to South Australia after
Easter and were wondering if we could get some help. Can anyone tell us of some pet friendly caravan parks on the road between Mt Gambier and
Torquay . we are travelling on the coast road including Great Ocean Road . We are finding it hard to find Pet Friendly parks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Leone.

Hi Leone, if you buy a copy of "Holidaying With Dogs" it will give you a listing of all dog friendly
places around Australia, including Cottages, Caravan parks and other accommodation choices. It is a paper back, consists of 190 pages and costs $24.95. Hope this helps, Cheers

Hi Leone,
We just spent a week at a CP 5 km east of
Port Fairy. I think it was called Gum Tree CP or similar. The sites are grassy but small. It's pet friendly and the managers were very nice.
Even better, download a copy of Wikicamps and click on the CPs along your route. The first page will tell you if they allow dogs, then you can drill down for comments and photos.
As you are travelling at
Easter, it might be wise to book.

We have stayed at Gum Tree with 3 Labradors, as long as you are a responsible dog owner they are happy to have you. We were even surprised that there are cabins that allow you to have your dogs with you, so they would have to rate as the friendliest pet friendly park we have stayed.
It is also handy as a day trip location, to visit the 12 Apostles,
London Bridge ( where it was before it fell down ). Highly recommend the park.

If you look here:-
http://acpr.myparklist.com/ you will find virtually every park in oz listed and it tells you which are DFP's dog friendly parks.
We travel full time with two small spaniels and always
check out there first, gives other inclusions too such as suitable for big rig etc.
Reports are from real people not advertising blurb.

My Parks List is a comprehensive carvan parks directory and looks for dog friendly parks. The previous post's link to Badgers' (reports contributed by users) and My Parks are cross referenced to each other on parks listed on both for ease of obtaining more details.
