We have also stayed at the Lookout Cave underground motel. It was all that it should be. But there are others.

Can also endorse John's Pizza. We had a "Coat of Arms" pizza.... Kangaroo & Emu!
He also had a Tiramisu to die for.... as good as the best anywhere, including Italy.

Cheers

By the way, the Visitor Centre is first class and very helpful. Straight in front of you as you reach the main street.

With a group I would suggest The Underground Motel http://www.theundergroundmotel.com.au/

It has units with a shared entrance/hallway and was very nice.
We stopped there a year ago.
Put the link in as I had to look it up to remember the name.

Hi,
Riba's underground camping and caravanpark is a pretty good experience and reasonable. About 5 k's of out town towards William Creek.

Regards.

We were going to stay here but we changed to a motel as someone suggested when I was asking was its just a long hall way with cut out sections to "camp" in so if someone down the end is snoring it will echo up the hall and you will hear everything

got to agree with what you said above Litlbalt...we have stayed at Ribas and that's what it was like for us. it didn't make that much differance to our nights sleep, as we had to do a late night dash to the hospital for a few hours with an extremely sick child, but yes you could certainly hear the snoring echoing around the inside there.
