Would appreciate some guidance about the access road to Useless Loop on Denham Sound, and also the road from Vlaming Head south to the seaside camping spots along the Cape Range National Park ; do you need 4WD for these tracks?

Thanks
Poitr

Cape range from the North is all Sealed to Yardi creek and camping areas Then sandy tidal creek and would need 4WD to cross Then 2 wheel rough track if you wanted to go further to Ningaloo and the other camping areas
The useless Loop road is gravel and can be travelled by car.The road into Steep point is sandy and would need 4wd

Hi poitr
Be aware that Useless Loop is a private town.
If you aren’t visiting an employee of Shark Bay Salt – you may be asked to leave town.
There is no fuel available for visitors, unless you borrow an employee’s key to the company’s fuel depot.

I haven't been there for a long time, but when we did go it was a nasty bloody road. Corrugated and dusty then soft and sandy. Steep point road was even worse. But the place is lovely. And as above no supplies of any kind. Take all you need

I was up there this time last year, and the road to useless was pretty bad then.... really dusty and VERY corrugated with plenty of pot holes.

One of our trailers dislodged its axle and had to be repaired on the track as it became wedged underneath... The other trailer broke the mounts for the assist shocks mounted with the leaves.

Past useless the track to Steep gets worse and very soft and is definitely 4x4 only
