You would be talking about last year as it is to hot at the moment to be out their. You would be better asking more around April as by then someone would have been there.

Check the Roads Conditions reports.
The
Warburton track & the K1 line will reopen on the 16th of March 2014, as will the rest of the
Simpson Desert.

Jeff Hi,
Sorry guys but I was a bit vague with my post, didn't really expect up to date track conditions. As I hadn't heard of the K1 line being used recently (travelling seasons) was interested to know if it was overgrown etc. with lack of use.
Thank's Mike.

Most reports that we've had indicate that the K1 line was in pretty reasonable condition last year.
The K1 line between the
Rig Road & Poeple Corner was the only track that I didn't get a chance to drive last season, so can't speak from experience.

Yep last July and was very easy and relaxing.
We took two nights from the BVT to Poeppel and saw one other car near the
rig road junction.
Cheers

Hi,
Thanks for the info. Thought it would be a bit less travelled.
Mike.

Michael, we were there in Aug last year and if you go to thread 105188 you will see lots of comments and i posted some pics taken at the time on our way up to the
Hay river track.
You could almost have driven in a commodore. Gets harder after Poepels. It was a good track and an enjoyable drive. This years winter rains may or may not have an effect and you may need to get local input as to conditions at the time you wish to travel.
Cheers and enjoy
Brenton

Brenton,
Thanks for the reply, good read on that thread. As said earlier will look at travelling conditions a bit closer to intended travel. Ta.
