Conditions report here http://www.nprsr.qld.gov.au/parks/fraser/pdf/fraser-conditions-report.pdf
I have not heard that Ngkala is impassable on any of the usual forums (try myswag, ausfish) so I very much doubt it is.

3 months is a long time!Sandy Cape is pretty remote - or did you mean 3 months on Fraser in total?
Technically I think 6 weeks is the limit for camping in national parks in qld but I'm sure you can get around that.

Hi- Large freezer, 3 months! I guess you are aware that bag limits apply there as elsewhere. :) Cheers, Graham.

If you live at Rainbow beach then just drop in to the national parks office there and chat with the rangers. They'll know the latest.

With a big frezer, gennie etc ... are you towing a trailer? Ngkala could be *interesting* with a heavy trailer if it has been dry.

Re: bag limits. There's a bag limit on tailor - 20 fish "in possession" so you cannot fill your freezer with tailor fillets. You can only have a max of 20 fish (40 fillets) in your possession at any time ... per person obviously.
