I have worked out how to install a new thermistor to suit the temperature indication on the display panel. Factory install has them snaking through the foam insulation
between outer and inner skin and located in the centre of floor area. If failure occurs,
the recommendation is to remove base plate, lower compressor and dig through insulation. I have found an alternative to get it with out Disassembly of the unit.
Route the new thermistor through insulation and out through cabinet light panel and fix to evaporator plate. Will post pics once finished.

I have now installed the new thermistor on the bottom of the evaporator plate, beside the divider and glued it into place using thermal heat sink adhesive. the cable was then hot glued to the divider risers and 3M cable clips were used to secure the cable across the top of the baskets.
It now runs and cycles like a brand new fridge, and the exercise cost about $40, this included the purchase of genuine waeco thermistor and special drill bit to get cable through insulation. The drill bit was just a 8mm auger bit operated only by fingers turning through the insulation.
i have since learnt that the thermistor can be sourced from jaycar for $1.50 and you can make up your own version.
