Is there a problem with the spark plug leads constantly breaking down?

Had a V8 Disco for 150K Km without a problem.
If I remember correctly they were replaced once as part of normal maintenance.

I should have included the vehicle has only done 90,000ks, the leads have already been replaced once and the experts are saying they need replacing again.
