Hi,
Anyone know if you can still make a claim for the damage done to fuel pump seals due to the low sulphur diesel?? If so who do I contact??

The reason that the early pump seals & orings leak is that they are designed to swell slightly with traditional diesel but with the latest diesel this swelling doesn't occur & this is why they leak when this fuel is used
I don't think "damage" is the correct word to describe what has happened
Over a period of time all seals & orings will leak & what you have may be normal wear & tear not a fuel related problem

I think the "statute of limitations" expired a couple of years ago.

Thanks everyone, I thought that might have been the case. It was a mates car that is leaking, he was told anywhere between 1 and 2 thousand dollars.
Yea go the diesel!! I was all for diesel at one stage but not so sure now. Between the added service costs and injector maintenance etc I'm not so sure it's the way to go. Still the verdict for that decission is still pending.

sounds a bit rich for a leak, i had a leak from the low sulpur on a 92 GQ and it cost $150 to fix and BP refunded. Col
