Just rotated the tyres and had a look for the grease points on the front end (and elsewhere) whilst at it.

There are none!!!

How can a $60k (when new) vehicle suspension/chassis that should be good for at 500k kms, be 'fit for the purpose' when one CAN'T B----Y WELL GREASE IT!!!

There's just one nipple on the thing that I can find- that's on the front universal joint.

Grrrrr

[PS: Seems to be a very nice veehicle in all other respects though]

Don't Panic mate, everything that needs to be lubricated probably is with sealed units.

Iused to think like that,..not anymore! they know what there doing, some of the time!

"Not fit for purpose" is becoming a well worn phrase here, it is called progress, if you can pump in grease, you can pump in dirt, how many grease nipples have you seen fail, seized balls, missing balls or get broken off? Also amateurs can pump in too much grease & split or blow out the seals, slow moving parts that don't generate heat are more than suitable to be permanently greased, fast moving parts that generate heat like universal joints are arguably still better to have grease nipples.

WOW! you really know your grease nipples...

but what you so emphatically say in answer to my 'tongue in cheek' post does make some sense.
