HELLO and Bonjour,
I am interested in crossing the Simpson desert in May with some other vehicles.
Preferable dates 1st to 10th May.
It is a west to east travel that I forecast.

Hi Soyer

Long handled shovel, MaxTrax, around 14psi tyre pressure and extra water.

Daytime temperatures will still be hot out there in the high 30's to low 40's with mild nights.

Some sections may still have blown over tips at the top of some dunes and some tracks will still not be fully defined.

Like I said above, type pressure will be very important with the still very soft sand, so do the responsible thing and keep your pressure low.

Stephen,

I think maybe the OP is actually enquiring if there are "some other vehicles" crossing at that time that he may tag along with.
Nevertheless, your advice would be useful to him.

We are aiming for departure from dalhousie heading east to birdsville on the the 30th april or 1st may , 2 vehicles 4 people , what vehicle and how many people are you ?
