Here is the truth about wireless reversing cameras.

If it is a 2.4Ghz wireless link.....there are only 4 frequencies.....plenty of people use them for video....surveylance systems, home video senders and people just playing.

Remember the 2.4Ghz ban is a free for all and there are plenty of other permitted uses.

Ya wireless reversing camera may work here...but over there....all the slots may be occupied.

believe me when I say that wireless is the cargo cult of the 21 st century.....it aint as simple as it seems.

If it matters put your failth in solid copper.

cheers

Hi, We found when installing a wireless rear view camera that it worked best with the sender unit as close as possible to the screen. This is for dual view behind. One on the ute to aid driving backing as the inside rear view mirror is permanently blocked, & the other on the van to supplement the extended rear view mirrors.

They work well with only a flicker when passing other vehicles & sometimes around town. Never off for more than a second or two. Much more interference with the sender placed further from screen. Bill

Don't waste money on wireless. We have tested many and still sell only wired systems.

When I was looking for a camera for our camper trailer, I went to have a look at one Jaycar were selling. I spoke to the sales guy about their unit as well as other Wireless units. He told me to save my money and buy a wired kit, he reckons they have had a lot of complaints about the wireless systems not working properly.

I ended up buying a complete wired kit from Safety Dave and can't fault it, everything is included and he was a real pleasure to deal with.

Been using a cheap wireless unit ( rear view mirror type ) for yrs.....apart from sunlight issues on the camera itself, haven't had a problem with it !!
