Hi has anybody fitted a dual wheel carrying rear bar to a Dx landcruiser 80series. Just wondering if both
barn doors fully open out once fitted.

Hi Brendan
I have an early Kaymar on my 93 DX. Yes they will hit if flung open. The small door hits the door handle number plate light bracket. If you put a padlock on to secure from theft then put electrical tape around to hold down or you end up with a dint in the door {big one} learnt hard way. Ive had
mine on 17 years.

Ok no worries. I have a fridge that slides out through the small door so i don't have to open both doors to access it. do you reckon it will still slide out.

Hi Brendan
If it slides out now you should have no problems with a dual carrier on. My small door sits about 5mm away from the tyre locking plate in the center of the tyre with the padlock on resting open.

Get a strong arm dual wheel carrier and it won't hit at all, both doors will open fully
