Because of dropping a td5 into my series 1 the front exhaust pipe has to be relocated under the subframe, have considered a 2inch spring and 1inch body lift
to regain ground clearance, what are the problems associated with this.

Talk to ARB. They do a 2 inch spring lift for Discos. Tail shaft angle was a problem when they did my Rangie but they now have that solved.

I am not familiar with the one inch body lift, it may require extension of brake hoses and such but I am not sure.

In that area the bodylift wont give you additional ground clearance, though it may allow you to sit the pipes further up. I'm pretty sure the OME 764 spring, which is a rear 220lb/in 16.9" spring when used in the front will give a 3" lift to the D1. To correct the vibrations the D2 front prop shaft should bolt in, which includes a double cardin uni setup. You may need to run a slightly longer shock (about 2") and lower the brake lines

Mate, well done with the TD5 conversion. I'd love to hear more about it.
