My 100 Series TD has 4 factory alloys and the spare is an original steel wheel.
I've heard that the wheelnuts for the alloys are different from those for steel.
Can someone confirm this? I'd hate to have to use the spare and then have it fall off because of incorrect wheelnuts.
If necessary, I'll get a spare set of 'steel' wheelnuts.

Hi Barry

I have a 2001 T/D and I have a set of alloy wheel with the standard road tyres on it and also a set of steel wheels with A/T tyres. And you will be pleased to know, I have only one set of nuts. :-)))

Had a great dinner with Maaaaaaaaaaaaa on Sat. Night too.
Your right, no saggy bits at all. Pretty tidy too.I'd rather have my bum on a beach in Broome

Did I say no saggy bits?? I reckon that the heat at Wandin did me in and I just couldn't see them for the sweat running down into my eyes. I reckon that Maaaaaaaaaaaa would be a good cook - all those recipes from her country womens presbyterian cookbook - stuff like bread and butter pudding. Can't wait till her barbecue - will have to forward her this post so she doesn't forget!! Just remember Des - keep up my side of the bargain and forget the flattery stuff - you just want another feed.
Andrew.

G'day Andrew,
We didn't venture out to Romsey. Had dinner at the Crown in a public place so Al couldn't deck me. hahahaha
Geez your game. Your not going to the LD obviously.
Just a word of warning, the BBQ at Romsey is just a ruse to get people out there. The new bigger and better shed has arrived and the main object is a working bee.
You might get served the Offal, hot tongue and cold shoulder.
Are you still going past here over Easter?

P.S. You didn't answer my question, Is it really you in drag.I'd rather have my bum on a beach in Broome
Than be stuck here in this damn room.

Me in drag? Not tonight - beside I look better in a frock with not tights so you can see my legs!
As for the LD - Luke's team has to make 180 runs on Saturday to make it into the finals - if not, were free on Labour Day Weekend. Then I will have to petition Jen to see what her plans are and find a really nice cabin with a spa and throw in a massage, nice dinner (?in the desert) and we might even get to LD.

I have a 80 series that HAD! standard wheel nuts on a set of alloy mags. After loosing two front wheels down the road on 2 seperate occassions I now have a new set of nuts. So to speak. Make sure the nut reaches all the way to the hub wall when done up otherwsie the section on unsupported stud will weaken over time and snap of under heavy breaking. Trust me I know.

Algee,

Did you have genuine Alloys? The genuine alloys had different nuts to steel on the 80#.We have so little time to enjoy our land

Barry,

On 100 series ,if they are the Royale wheels then the nuts are the same whether steel or Alloy. The nuts are concealed behind the centre cap on Royale wheels. We have so little time to enjoy our land
