Hi all, just wondering if anyones had a similar problem to me - basically the brakes lights on the trailer come on instead of the side lights and vice - versa.

I'd say it was just some pins round the wrong way except I have brakes fitted to the trailer that do work!

Also, had a look in the back (of the light fittings) at the bulbs thinking that I could just swap them around but they're both the same...?

Any simple suggestions/fixes much appreciated.

hiya brumlm.
you say you have brakes fitted im guessing you mean electric brakes.
electric brakes run off a diferent wire.
it does sound like the brown and red plug wire are around the wrong way that should be your first place to check.next make sure you have a good earth. only picture i could find that wouldnt
annoy/upset/confuse/stir any one

Make sure that your earth wire is connected from your plug to your trailer and from your socket to your vehicle.
