OziExplorer on Android Samsung Galaxy S4 phone

For each ozf map file you need a .map file as well. Have you loaded these on to the phone too?

On my Galaxy Note I put the map files, both the ozf4 and .map onto the micro sd card. I removed the card, put in my computer and copied the files.
I then went to the configuration menu in Ozi and entered where to find the files. It works a treat.
I did the same with my Telstra ZTE phone.

everyones got ozi these days ask around kal and you shouldnt have an issue finding the maps you want in the format you want

Firstly - you don't need to convert ECW maps to OZF for work on the android version of OziExplorer. ECW should work OK. Having said that OZF if probably better so if its not that much trouble convert away.

Your Android phone (same for tablets) should, when connected to PC via USB show up as
a Portable Device along with your other hard drives ect ....



Click on it and it should show internal and external (SD Card) memory locations...



Now - you can save your maps to the tablets/phones internal memory but typically people use external memory cards...so in this example that's where we are headed. I have created a folder on my external SD called, believe it or not, Maps and place all my maps (for all programs) here...(to create a new folder just right click with mouse in desired location and select "New Folder" - change name to Maps.





So..once you have copied your maps (don't forget you need the image file (*.ecw or *.ozf4) and the calibration file (*.map)) across you need to let OziExplorer know where to find then.

This is done by starting up OziExplorer, Tap the settings button (on the phone/tablet left of central bottom button), Select "Main Menu", then select "Configuration" then "General Settings" ...here you will see "Map File Path" - select this and navigate through the different folders to find the external SD card (typically called storage/extSdCard - there maybe other folders called "SD card" but make sure you get the "External" one) to the Maps folder you created before. Make sure you actually navigate all the way into the Maps folder when saving this configuration.



When done index maps (select "Index Maps on OziExplorer Start" maybe a good function to turn on - its in the general settings also).

I also save all my data to the SD card...same procedure as maps, just create a folder and let Ozi know where it is (i.e. select Data File Path).

As others have suggested - if you can't get you PC to recognize your phone - just take the sd card out, insert into PC and do it that way.
