Can anyone tell me if you can change your user name on EO without starting a new account

Cheers,

Cruiser (who now drives a Colorado 7, so user name is now irrelevant)

Gday
Over the years I have changed my name 4 or 5 times with no problem. The only problem i have is remembering the previous name when doing history checks.

Thanks Muzbry, but i suspect as a non financial member that this option is not available to me.

I can see all my "membership" details and it seems all fields are changeable except the screen name/alias.

Cheers,

Cruiiser, or is it Colly7, dont know who I am ATM

Hi

Contact management (info@exploroz.com) and I think they will happily change it for you (at a guess). Mods can't do it.

No worries though after reading comment below maybe they don't do it "happily"...it maybe a "members only" thing. Though doesn't stop you from doing what you initially suggested and just re-register using another email address, which makes things messy (for you and them).

Good Luck

A-Man, only members can change their membership names mate, free membership aren't able to do so, and I reckon the office will be reluctant cause it adds to their admin functions.

Gday,
I asked about dropping the NT bit from my user name when I moved and was told I would have to pay membership.

Bit strange ( I note there is currently a "Hairy" so you may not have been able to use it anyway:)

Interesting to see how Cruiser goes.

Hairy! It wasn't really meant to be personal . Just stating it's not that expensive. We generally get more out of the site than we put in! I suppose you're right, up the the individual ! Regards Michael

Why not use your real name and then you wouldn’t need to keep changing it?

This is the only time in 10 yrs I have wanted to change my screen name and have not decided what name I would like (subject to availability)

Cruiser has been applicable since 1981 and this is the first time since then I havent had a Landcruiser (cant afford one anymore)

Cheers,

Cruiser

I agree with Dennis.
I'll always be Fab (short for Fabio) and I'll always be born in (19)72. You could always use the Cruiser element as an indication of the way you travel rather than the car you drive. Just a thought.

Fab.

Cruiser,
have you tried going into "My details" at the top of this page and changing your user name, then push update.

Don't know if that will work or not.
