We are heading to
Darwin in the next 2-3 weeks we are at
alice springs at the moment staying at
temple bar caravan park nice park some work being done around the park $21 per night plus power .
But my question is is there any free or low cost camping in or around
Darwin that we can stay at as we are travelling to a budget , we are pretty much self contained as we have shower
toilet and generator on hand any advice would be very much appreciated
Cheers
Win and Tim

Hi Win,
Very expensive here in
Darwin Free Spirit in excess of $49.00 per night but not a bad park,
Discovery a mess at present due construction for FIFO around $38.00 per night these are for powered sites.
Road out to Gunn Point was extremely bad a couple of weeks ago.
Often see people parked up at some of the boat ramps probably going fishing early.
also the old ww11 air strips such as Strauss
Airstrip on the Highway just before
Noonamah
often have people stopped to have a rest.
You could try
Dundee Beach caravan park but its a good two hour run from
Darwin
