If anyone comes across a tinny with a 15hp motor (no trailer) in fair to excellent condition for a fair price please let me know. I am in the Hunter Valley so would prefer it to be within 150 km of here.

Cheers,

Peter

Thanks Rojac. I had looked on e-bay and trading post though there is nothing of fair value and almost all of the privat items have trailers that they wont split from teh rest of the rig.

Thanks anyway,

Peter

I have a 9ft vee bottom tinny with 8hp 4stroke honda outboard, throw in life jackets, tank etc.
$1000 bucks, but no trailer, havent used it much.
Not quite 15hp, but works well, can test out in the dam, in Horsley park, near Aust. wonderland.
02 9620 1208 if interested.

Peter, I know you said you prefer something close to home but I have just heard of a cheapie, in Qld,just incase you know of some good inexpensive transport. This unit is only 12 months old in ex. con. 12 ft Savage aluminium with brand new canopy, 15hp mariner motor, including a new trailer (worth $1,200) all for $2,700. I don't know this bloke at all, I had rang him to buy something else he had, and this boat was the only thing he had left, and he tried to sell it to me, but we are not interested at the minute. His contact # is David on Phone 0741566027

No Peter, This bloke lives at Baffle Creek south of Gladstone, north of Bundaberg, about 1/2 way. I only rang him this afternoon after a glass front wood heater that he had advertised. I thought I was getting in early for winter( although it is scorching here at the moment) But I missed out. 07 is Qld area code 41 is Bundaberg and area code.

Thanks Jen,

I called yesterday; The hull is new, motor is a 1990 model. A little too long on the tooth for me.

I see on the news that SE QLD is having record temps of 41. I used to live in Brisbane about 10 years ago and imagine the killer is still the humidity, it was for me thats for sure.

Thanks again,

Peter

G'day Peter,
I see, he didn't tell me about the motors age, so I had the impression it was all new, sorry for the runaround.
We are having some unbearable conditions regarding the heat over the last few weeks. It was 38 in the shade here yesterday, and the humidity during last night was a shocker. We have the A/c during the day and like to have fresh country air while sleeping, with all the windows open. Made it very hard to sleep comfortably. Would be worse in areas where there is all bitumen and concrete. Nevermind things could be worse, we maybe in for a lot of rain yet which could be a problem to some, won't worry us being on a hill. Cheers Jen

Now Peter, You are not going to believe this. We were supposed to have a cooler day today, but no, it was 41.5 and 39 in the shade and we are having storms at the moment with winds and rain. So good chance tomorrow may be a little cooler after the rain. Let's hope so. Although the heat is helping me loose some Christmas weight :>) Cheers Jen
