Ask on this wb site and some one has more than lickly been there and can give you a description.
But as always one person may love a spot and you may end up hating it.

All the best

Rojac,
You'll need at least a week in Wilcannia to fully appreciate the subtle attractions. Great place for a romantic getaway or honeymoon ;-)Bob

Rojac,
I don't know why you got the silly replies. The Broken Hill to Cobar Highway is very good sealed road. Do a search on Wilcannia and then decide if you wish to stop there. I wouldn't. There are some beautiful old buildings and a bridge from the days when the Customs used to check the riverboats' cargo. Cobar to Bourke should be OK depending when the grader last visited and likewise with the Bourke/ Louth/ Tilpa road.

Cobar to Bourke is sealed all the Way.
We did the Upper Darling Run last June from Bourke to Louth, Tilper and on to Wilcannia. We had about 15 mil of rain and the roads were only just passable.
Wilcannia to White Cliffes is sealed all but 11km and then good dirt to the Silver City H'way and into Tibooburra.
Hope this one was not a "silly: reply
