Jody there was a post on here a week back that may provide some info for you.

http://www.exploroz.com/Forum/Topic/106932/Drawers_for_GU_Patrol.aspx?ky=&sn=&p=%2fForum%2fDefault.aspx%3fpn%3d2

It's post 106932.

I'll second 'Best Off Road' as well for value and quality.

Cheers Mick

Hi Jody,
Drifta Draws ; ( www.drifta.com.au) are excellent, will build to suit your needs. I have no association with this company, just answering your question.

Hi. I had Black Widow drawers fitted over 230,000 kms and 12 years ago. No problem with the drawers. Have tools in 1 and cooking gear, stove, pots etc in the other. Vehicle has done plenty of bush trips,Birdsville, The Tip, Tassie, Bourke & Wills 150 year trip etc, have been travelling on a trip around OZZ for 8 months. No affiliation with Black Widow just very happy with the drawers. Whatever make you get, I hope they serve you well!

Hi Jody,
Give 'Drifta' a call at least they will get back to you. Had a set of drawers made by them in Feb. and so far have been very happy with them, the price was very reasonable and they will build them to what you want. No affiliation with them just a happy customer.

Cheers
Graham

I have a set of Tanami drawers in my vehicle, all alloy, very strong and light.

Thoroughly recommend them to anyone.

We bought a full set of black widow drawer system (including fridge slide) and full length shelves that run full length from the back of the drawer unit, to the back of the front seats.
These are excellent as they help things stay very organized.

Obviously we have removed all the passenger seating( except the front seats of course)..no room for kids :)

My husband made 2 custom aluminium cargo barriers. 1 behind the the front seats and the second one behind the passenger seats..(the area where they were anyway)

The drawer system is a side by side model. ( ie not on top of each other)
We did get all the drawers and shelving system off EBay. They were second hand, but in excellent condition...and they only cost a fraction of the new price too.
I think the full system was around $1,800 delivered from QLD to southern SA

I wouldn't let my husband try to make them (although well qualified to do so)...it wasn't worth the hassle/stress...not that I thought he couldn't produce an excellent job....

The only thing we needed to alter was, to cut a piece off the top of the drawers to accommodate the rear a/c ducting.. the model these suited didn't have the rear a/c option.
Hope that helps
Cheers
Robyn

Have always made my own for all our vehicles. That way I can make them to suit our particular needs. Not as flashy as the bought ones but my missus is happy with what we have so it's all good. And I saved a heap of $.

I made my own with the help of Off Road Systems in Smeaton Grange, NSW. They do vehicle-specific installations of their own, but also help DIYers with free advice and supply of components. They had a custom-sized twin track drawer made for me - no extra cost for the custom sizing.

Good people to work with.

I agree, make your own to your custom specs ,that's what I did and also built 2 more for my mates Pajeros, all I farmed out was the draw surrounds as I had a local sheet metal shop fold me up some gal sheets with safety edges and that was it the rest was custom.
