Wouldn't have minded a job like that, surveying a beach for rubbish every 100kms. But I wonder whether the results would be the same if the survey was to be repeated. Surely prevailing wind and currents would have a big bearing on where rubbish came ashore.

dirtiest and cleanest beaches

However its a reminder that there IS a lot of rubbish out there. Those searching for the plane off Perth apparently have seen a lot of it. Whats the answer?

Cheers,

Val

I for one am sick of american voices telling us how bad we are. Why don't they investigate their own backyards? No wonder most of the world detests them.

Am I missing something here - what has your comment concerning American voices have to do with the topic?

Garry, the researcher was an American working for CSIRO. By way of contrast, here is an American with a very positive view of Oz.

Thanks - while born an American I assume that at she is now employed by the Australian Public Service I assume she holds Australian citizenship.
