Hi all,

I need to flush the plastic 120 litre water tank in my camper trailer and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how much Bi-Carb soda I should use? All the hoses are food grade, but I've been told they can do with flushing too.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Nigel,
The best way to flush your tank and make it safe, getting rid of any little gremlins that are trying to breed is to go to a caravan store and pirchase their flushing agent. Then add Puratabs to your water tank to prevent any mishaps. If you do not have a drain plug in your tank try fitting a common t piece and an in line tap from garden irrigation equip. These are easily obtained at hardware stores. You can then flush your tank at will.

Nigel, I "Nappysan" my water tanks and then give them a good rinse. If it's good enough for a baby's bum it's good enough for me. Mal Try.
