We've stayed at the park in Mission Beach itself and found it really squeezy.

We much prefer the Big 4 at South Mission Beach, especially down the grass area at the rear right hand side.

I'm glad I ain't too scared to be lazy

Given that cyclone Ita is about to go across the top of Mission Beach - or very close - I would put off this enquiry until you can see what damage has been done.

I agree Terry W4,
This Cyclone is going to cause a lot of flooding.
Our thoughts are with those affected by this storm, The animals which can't be evacuated included. Try to keep safe, & take care. Lets hope
it downgrades a bit more & doesn't destroy Cooktown & surrounding areas .
We stayed at Flametree from what I remember many years ago, it was a nice park but directly under the flight path near the airport.
It was later in the season & still very full.
Take care. Ma & Pa.

Depends on what type of park you want. We recently stayed at the council run park and it is the only one that has beach front sites. We had a brilliant spot and it is pet friendly. The park is not as flash as the MISSION BEACH HIDEAWAY HOLIDAY VILLAGE across the road, but it was well maintained. Kevin
