Can anyone give me the lat/long of the Quaranteen Insp point at Ceduna?
We will be heading up Googs Track and it would be nice to carry some fruit and veg.

The quarantine inspection point is on the western outskirts of Ceduna. It is a SA inspection point for vehicles coming INTO SA. So if Googs is west of Ceduna you should have no worries.

Hi Rob

As the others have Sid, it is a few kilometre just out of Ceduna and only vehicles coming into town are stopped and inspected. The Googs Track turn off is past the inspection point and you will be safe taking fruit with you.

There is a new large Foodland supermarket in the Main Street where you can top up on all your food requirements.

Cheers

Hi Rob

Thanks for asking that quarantine question; I was about to do the same.

When are you going up Googs Track? We are doing the same with a couple of mates, planning to depart Ceduna around 6 June - may meet you along the way. Haven't seen any reports from travellers up Googs so far this year, but previous year comments suggest it is a worthwhile journey.

Our Googs trip is part of a meander via various tracks up to the Mitchell Plateau over a few months, including out to Dalhousie and up the Finke to Chambers Pillar, and then via Tanami from Alice up to Kununurra and the Kimberley

Cheers

Hi Wildmax,
It would be good to meet up with you on Googs but our dates are not set. We do however want to make it up to the Finke Desert Races (Finke end) on 7-9th June so a Googs meeting may not be possible.
If you come to a green truck bogged in the sand it will be us.
Rob
PS You should be able to track our location on EO
