the puddle duck

whats the go with my question last night.
it wasnt rude.
it didnt offend.
it wasnt bagging any one.
but yet it got deleated.
all i asked is did you or any one at exploroz go into my details and change them.
simple question could have been answered with yes/no why deleat it.
so once again did you or any one else at exploroz go to my details and change my nick name and email adress just yes or no would help.
as michelle said last night email you directly.
i did but no response yet i understand you may get 100000 emails per day but im just trying to work out if some one is playing silly buggers or the nick name . some how goes againt your code of conduct.

Yes I did edit the record as a screenname of . and an email address of somepeoplesuck@exploroz.com.au is offensive to me. I allow members to do certain things that are not allowed to others and it gets on my nerve that I have to be confronted with people defacing and abusing my service.

As for today I have been out on IT services business. As for last night I was trying to be out of the office for once. It had little to do with the . as the screenname however this does not seem to be in the spirt of what I in fact intended membership to be. It is now appearent that my email change for members may need to be adjusted to check for the use of invalid members email addresses (I thought this would have been a low priority job - but alas here it is).Regards

Trouble with bodgy email addys is that the system send out email to the address - ISP sends it back to us telling us it could not be delivered - Not only does this fill our email system with NDRs (non delivery reports) but our current billing rates are for inbound data traffic which is data coming into the ExplorOz account currently around 7GB/Month (our outbound is over 80GB/Month). So the NDR causes a billing event - a little one but you must understand that we track all email and every NDR ends up costing.

So for me it does really matter.Regards

Agreed! But why would some people want a email addy like that in the first place?

Whats wrong with using your real email addy instead of some silly one that offends David who in my opinion provide the best 4wd site in the world.

My opinion is that because this site is run in such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, some people have just taken certain things for granted, i have read many a post, and there are lot of messages where people still have a laugh and be a bit tongue and cheek, and none of it was a problem. But some things are just plain childish, try to remember what a professional job D&M have done with the contsruction of this site and how insulting it would be to the work they put in.
