Why couldnt this happen to me..
"This guy brings in a box of train equipment and other goodies to sell to the store. The store buys the lot for an amount less than $400 (my understanding is the amount is
well under $200).
When some one in the store cleans out the box, they find a toy "live steam" boat in the bunch of items. The boat is put on a shelf where a customer spies it and offers $7000. The folks in the store become curious and decide to put it on ebay to see what it will sell for.
It sells for $79,100 American, over $103,000 Canadian.
Turns out the boat was made on or priori to 1906 and is very collectable. "

Why not, a low figure gets a few early bids in from the poor. Remember the seller can withdraw an item at anytime, not a nice thing to do but that is the law. BEAM ME UP SCOTTY

Bloke who works at the
shop is on one of the model railway forums I'm on (Trainboard.com). He's one of the moderators. Very
well known, has regular articles in mags, not a bull bleep artist, too old and serious for that.
As Ray said, start the bidding at $20,000 you wont get early bidders.
Always start my auctions at $1, then set a reserve of what you want for it! You always find dudes battling like fools for a while!

I believe it,
Heard a story once about an Aussie man overseas on a "business" trip, Wife finds out he is having an affair and took the woman with him. Aparently he told his wife back
home to sell the car as he needed money fast, so she did. Placed the ad in the trading post and sold a 200,000 dollar car for a few thousand...nice pay back i say.
Second hand news by the way so if its not right......dont sue me ok...I'm just the messenger here.I love it when you talk DIRTY !
