The shack settlement of Grey used to be a reasonably difficult drive south from Cervantes on a rough limestone track. However, the new Indian Ocean Drive now runs within a 100m of the settlement.

Gone are the days when Grey was an off road adventure to get to. Now the new highway goes right by. Still a wonderful place to enjoy the beach. No camping though.
