Comment: EOTrackMe

Hi new to EOTrackMe and was wondering why my route after a few weeks has abruptly ended and started another track after the last event? I didn't save the track midway through the trip either! Anyone know how I can join the two back together?
Thanks SimSal

SimSal,

What device are you using - I suspect you may have done an IOS update or some other app update it using a smartphone and this has changed the device id. Currently there is no auto tool to join them together I will need to intervene to make this happen, however I need to work out why it started a new device.

Hi David thanks for the prompt response !
The phone I have is an android – “Telstra Dave” (Z83) and at the time of the splitting of tracks the unit wouldn't have undergone an update because I had very little data left and updates are prompted to be manually updated due to being on the road at the time –?
The two tracks that I have on my EOTrackMe have identical Device ID numbers as well ? (go figure !)
Thanks again for your help

Very weird the device numbers have changed - Are you running a Samsung by chance - the only reason I ask is I have one and there was a firmware update the other day - this may have changed the ID. Apart from that there is something that has made yours change it is a subtle change but these are the id's:
LDC205BFD-8BBD-3238-BA1B-FDF9F9B5CBC0
LDDC205BFD-8BBD-3238-BA1B-FDF9F9B5CBC0

The second one is the current one.

I am merging all your data to the second one and this will be completed by the time your read this thread.

Oh and just to cover it off the deviceid does not start with an L so for the details above it should have read:

DC205BFD-8BBD-3238-BA1B-FDF9F9B5CBC0
DDC205BFD-8BBD-3238-BA1B-FDF9F9B5CBC0

I have now combined your data and it is showing a single track.
