Hi every one we were planning on going to the Cape Tribulation Area in June and I have been told that there is an area over the range that has several blind one vehicle wide corners and not suitable for caravans.
I have spoken to the managers at Cape Trib camping and they said a lot of caravans still visit them but to be wary of the road. We have heard that it is a beautiful place to stay but as we are unsure as to the extent of corners and if it is worth the risk of having an accident. We always drive to the road conditions and would hope that oncoming vehicles also do so.Our rig is just a commodore and a 16.5 ft van.
Would appreciate any info .Thanks, Brian

iT is not an ideal road for vans BUT taken slowly an not having a long rig I think you should be ok. I was up there last week and there are no hidden dangers. Slow and steady. A good idea is to be the last vehicle to take off from the ferry landing and that way you shouldn't have impatient drivers trying to push you...

Enjoy.

We went to Cape Tribulation March 2012, beautifull place to stay. We had 4x4 towing 22 foot caravan, it was no worries at all, make sure you don't miss the park and end up on the Bloomfield track.
