Alex B - that's actually a good idea isn't it. 'Course its gotta cost a bit to run, but maybe in places like Birdsville (Ruth at the CP or Karsten at the Cafe/Gallery), or even Anne from Drysdale RS in the Kimberely could drum up the interest through the councils.ExplorOz

Hi Michelle, thats my second good idea this year...I'll have to go and have a bit of a nap :-))

It would be great to be able to have a bit of a look around the traps -so to speak

Glad you liked it, and think something could come of it.
Have a great day
Cheers

Don't quote me on all of these cameras, but mostly they are set up (some along the NSW coast) to show surfing conditions, snow cond etc. The one at Broome you can get to stand between the cafe where the camera is and the beach & therefore get in the pic while you make a phone call to home. We did this and my daughter was quite impressed as she could see us whilst talking on the mobile (she warned me not to do a brown eye, as if I would. lol)

However the pics are not in real time ie it is a snap pic of the conditions taken every 10 or 30 seconds. Remembering that they serve a commercial purpose in conditions that are variable from day to day, my imagination can't quite understand how one would be of benefit say looking at a paddock at Drysdale, or similar and you also need to make a phone call as well, if that is the intention. All I am saying is, is it an impossible dream or am I assuming something different to you ?? Carpe Diem
