does anybody know if the
Birdsville inside track is open, my internet is saying yes but my south oz map says no so I don't know.

Closed, supposedly due to flooding.
Could be under still, or might be washed out too badly.

The sign at
Marree will tell you the story.
However personally, I would call one of these
places;
Marree pub, Mungerannie or even the
Birdsville roadhouse before leaving
home because it's a big detour if the road is closed.

I give up.
That's the wrong sign and there isn't an editor. I am sure you get theidea. Call someone local is the best and before you leave. Then you can work out a different way up. Maybe via the Strez and
Innamincka.
